Every year #EarthDay is celebrated on April 22, and in 2016, the #EarthWeek is being celebrated from April 18- April 24. It is this week when environmental enthusiasts demonstrate the urgent need for environmental protection and many organizations focus the entire week on various problems that create the dis-balance in the planet’s climate.
#EarthDay was first proposed by John McConnel at a UNESCO conference in San Francisco. Later a US Senator, Gaylord Nelson founded a day for environmental teachings on April 22, 1970, which came to be celebrated as an official Earth day.
