The creators of Game of Thrones has admitted for trying to land Ed Sheeran in their series for years. And now, finally, their attempts appeared fruitful when Ed confirmed to be a part of GoTS7. The fans of Game of Thrones are already aware of the history of musical guest stars in this famous American drama series. But, Ed Sheeran is a megastar of British singing industry and this will surely add as a grossing factor for the producers of GoT.
The creators of GoT picked Ed for a certain personal reason. In a conversation with Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), David Benioff admitted to attempt to cast Ed Sheeran in their show as they are well aware of Williams being a fan of Ed. And, after so many years they finally made Sheeran be a part of the show.
Lately, Game of Thrones had a number of musical guests such as members of Coldplay, Of Monsters and Men, and many others, on their show. But, most of them were being low-profile when compared to megastar Ed Sheeran.
D.B. Weiss and David Benioff has also confirmed that the final season of the show will be shorter than the previous ones. The season is going to have 6 episodes only unlike previous seasons where the audiences have witnessed 10 episodes of each season.

The seventh installment of Game of Thrones will be on-air on July 16th, 2017. And, the later season will arrive sometime in next year.
