Salesman, the most “respected” and “prestigious” designation one can hold in our society, believe in muscles and mind rather than luck,they bear intense mental and physical pressure for their work and organization.There are various names and designations given to people who are in sales, like “Sales Executive”, “Business Developer”, “Program Coordinator” and the like. Their work, might be different, but the core of their work is the same, and is definitely one of the most difficult works which is further complicated by the pressure that the management puts on them.
Every company has two prime platforms – the Production,and the other is marketing. The co-existence of these 2 segments is a high gamble, there is nothing to sell or market without a product and with no marketing there is no production. Fundamentally our salesman, stays under the shadow of marketing and are responsible for holding the entire economical graph of any company.
Company sells concepts like insurance, event management; Payroll management and it is up to the salesmen of these company that has to see more cumbersome scenery coming to the field. Probably it’s more tough to sell concepts than products, because in product based sales you can basically at least see the product when you done with the payment.This is not the same scenario with concept selling it needs more planning and confidence to speak a scripted promise about uncertain future.
Truly, those salesmen who actually make the concepts come true and sell the products deserve our applause. But the woeful part is that only slight percentages of the company calculate their hard work separately. Higher managers tend to only consider company profits or revenue earned as a parameter of hard work.
It’s so startling thatthe in-house employees, who work in beautiful glass finished offices with even wonderful interior decors, can never realize the life of the salesman of the same company.
Being a salesman, your evening is bound to be so different from the world. Your dusk will be defined by the completion of your task- The time when you have to disclose your report, based on which your further tasks, targets and unfortunately pressure will be calculated. No matter how miserable your day was, no matter how distant you are from your family life, no matter how perfectly your sales were, no matter you didn’t allot time which was meant for your beloved, youare always screwed up.
We think they live a life with an actual definition: ups and down like sweet and bitter flavors of life. Challenges are what they know very well. Politeness and punctuality are the words that are meant for them and define them. They are not less than a fighter or a hero in this society who grips the actual economy of society without any appreciation.
A life of a salesman is never, and cannot be defined by their Curriculum Vitae. No one knows a heart of a salesman. If you want to experience a salesman life then ask the evening, because it is the time of the day, when everyone returns home for rest, but salesman just asks for a peaceful time, to plan his next day. Only an evening knows!
