We have heard of foods that are carcinogenic, foods that are harmful for our body, and foods that would make us obese and so on. It must be surprising for a few to hear about the list of food that would kill or spoil your mood!!

You will be baffled after knowing them!!

Everybody knows that white flour is unhealthy, but you health conscious man or woman out there, merely avoiding white bread isn’t enough. Bleached white flour has found its way into soups and salad dressings as a thickening agent.

Even though it is devoid of any nutritional value, it makes your blood boil, wanting for high glucose content. This makes you feel irritable due to hunger in spite of having a meal few minutes ago.

2. Food Dye FD&C Red 40

This is one of the most popular and commonly used colouring agent. It serves no good purpose than just making the food look colourful and deceiving you to think it is tasty. It is added in everything possible like soft drinks, sodas, fruit juices, cerials, junk and the list goes on.

Studies have shown that this colouring agent can cause hypersensitivity in children and also ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyper tension Disorder).

3. Hydrogenated oils

These are highly processed oils used mainly as a preservative, not only to increase the shelf life by days but sometimes also by months.
Hydrogenated fats cause trans-fat, which further leads to increase of cholesterol levels in your body. In addition your body has to work double time in order to digest it.

Hydrogenated oils cause obesity, which in turn fogs your mind making you feel moody drowsy, all the time.

4. Aspartame
Aspartame
Aspartame is a sweetening agent used in sugar free products, which you see in your super market. Although, using less sugar is a good idea, but you have to think twice before taking this toxic chemical.

It causes headaches, weight gain and seizures. You should avoid using this chemical at all costs.

5. Food Colour FD&C Yellow 5

Cookies, Sodas, ice creams, chewing gum, cerials, bread etc. contain this food dye. If your food looks unnaturally attractive, more than usual confirm that your food contains this additive.

Yellow 5 has been proved to cause all kind of problems such as asthama, nausea, mood disorders such as anxiety or depression.

6. Monosodium glutamate

Why do you think Maggi is so tasty and has got banned recently !! because of its rich content of Monosodium glutamate(MSG), commonly known as “Ajinamoto”.
It is used as a flavouring agent in potato chips, Hamburgers, and ethnic food such as Chinese Noodles, Fried Rice, etc.

Consuming small amounts of MSG can lead to dizziness, nausea, weakness and feelings of anxiety. Be sure your products say “MSG Free”.

7.Sugar

Sugar is almost present in every food imaginable. This includes chips, sauces, ketchups and other canned vegetables, peanut butter, salad dressing, yoghurt…

Diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, hypoglycemia, depression and not to mention obesity are some of the most rewards for using excess sugar. Aim for not more than 12 spoons of sugar everyday.
