I am sure many of you love the elegant and beautiful Dia Mirza who has astonished people with her spectacular acting and she has won millions of hearts and even today she continues to do so. Earlier in 2002 she was also crowned “Miss Asia Pacific” and that’s when she made her Bollywood debut.
Okay, so who loved the film “Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mei”?! That’s where she stole the hearts of all the people with her flawless acting and people couldn’t stop admiring her.
Recently, in an interview Dia Mirza stated that doesnt use sanitary napkin and the reason is applauding! She was declared the UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for India and she has taken this great responsibility of spreading awareness about environment related issues.
In an interview with the Navbharat Times, Dia reveals that she doesnt use sanitary napkins because they have a harmful impact on the environment which is an interesting revelation.
She stated saying, “The Sanitary napkins and diapers in our country are polluting the environment on a larger scale and that’s why during periods I have stopped using sanitary napkins. As an actor, if I am saying this then it is a big thing because we also promote sanitary napkins. Whenever I get offers of sanitary napkins. Whenever I get offers of sanitary napkins promotions, I clearly deny them.”
“Now I use biodegradable napkins that get destroyed 100 percent naturally. In our country, women are using cotton during periods for a long time but now many options have come that are bad for the environment. The women in India should stop using sanitary napkins and should use protective and secured biodegradable napkins,” Dia Mirza added.
Now, if you think about what Dia has stated it makes sense. Did you know according to the survey conducted in 2011, nearly 9000 tons of sanitary napkins are generated in India every month and they are all non-bio degradable that is dumped in the landfills thereby polluting the environment.
So, now she has switched to eco- friendly napkins that get 100% naturally destroyed. So, is it time for all the women to switch to these Eco-Friendly sanitray napkins that will make progress in our environment?!
Well, you need to think about it for real. Its time to make some change.
What Dia Mirza is doing is praise worthy and we hope that she spreads more awareness and make this society a better place to live thereby not affecting the environment.
