Indians are passionate about 2 things- Cricket and Movies. But, India, isn’t someplace where Hollywood would like to shoot for it’s movies, unless the storyline demands it; But, there are many movies, that have been shot in India, in secret only to keep the location authentic.
Here’s a list of 5 such movies, that have been shot in India, and Indians never knew of it having their favorite stars.
1.Zero Dark Thirty
The movie was shot in Chandigarh, but shown as Pakistan onscreen, as it was supposed to be based in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
2.Octopussy
This James Bond movie was shot in Udaipur in Lake Palace.
3.The Dark Knight Rises
The Jail sequence was shot in Mehrangarh Fort,Jodhpur
4.The Bourne Supremacy
Few scenes of the movie were shot in Goa.
5.A Mighty Heart
This film was about the story of Wall Street Journalist Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and killed in Pakistan and most of the scenes in the film were shot in India, because of shooting permission issues in Pakistan.
