We all know the famous Marvel comic’s character Wolverine which is played by none other than Hugh Jackman and I must say boy, he has got some amazing talents and did you know he had this humorous side where he could actually do commentary for a cricket match!
Well, during the Australia’s Boxing Day Test match, the 49-year old joined the commentators and gave a short glimpse of commentary and he totally nailed it!
With England’s campaign dragging to the fourth test series, the competitive spirit of Ashes has been mind-blowing by the lop-sided results of the series. Though the Boxing Day Test made history, there was another local who just added spark to the day and made all the fans and viewers go wohooo!
So, during the Australia innings Hugh decided to give a short stint of commentary and the day couldn’t be anymore brighter and looks like he is no outsider to the world of cricket.
He had also confessed that he had this amazing dream of joining and representing the Australian team. Stated saying, “long before I wanted an Oscar”.
Earlier this year, he had also visited India to promote his movie Logan where he played the famous “Wolverine” role and during his promotions he spoke about how he admired Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and he backed the Indian team who lost in the Pune Test against Australia.
He said, “Kohli is amazing. You know what I love about him is that he thinks out of the box, he seems to absolutely love what he is doing.”
Checkout the video below where he gave this fabulous cricket commentary and stole hearts of all the fans!
Twitterati’s expressed their reactions on his commentary, while may of them loved and praised the celeb for this stint commentary, others were annoyed as he took this platform to promote his film “ The Greatest Showman.” This film is all set to release soon in theaters!
Seems fair that if Hugh Jackman is in the box then Bill Lawry is in the next Wolverine. #ashes
