1.Dhoti
Dhoti is the traditional clothing of men. It is an unstitched piece of cloth usually 5 yards long that is tied around the waist and legs. The knot is made near the waist. It is known by different names in different regions such as Laccha in Punjab, Dhurti in Bangla.
2. Kurta
It is a unisex clothing, worn by both men and women, unlike the olden times where it was worn only by the men. It is a long loose shirt, falling below or just above the knees of the wearer.
3. Indian SalwarKameez
SalwarKameez is a traditional clothing for women. It is commonly referred to as the Punjabi suit, due to its popularity in the Punjab Region. Since the past few months, women have been wearing this beautiful attire.
When some one thinks of a typical Indian woman, the first thought that strikes them, is a woman clad in a sari. A woman’s beauty is seen the best in this attire.
5. Sherwani for Men
Sherwani is a long coat, buttoned on the top and usually below the knee. It adds to the charm of men, especially the taller one. Onwedding occasions, it is worn by men.
6. Turban
Turban is worn by a lot of men, not for the sake of fashion, but because it has a lot of significance in the lives of Indians. It consists of a long piece of unstitched cloth wrapped around the head.
