The vertical gardens are trending all over the globe these days. After China, India’s Silicon Valley has joined in the race of vertical gardens. These gardens just don’t look beautiful but it is very important to have them if we are willing to keep our environment green.
After being known as the silicon valley of India, Bengaluru is all set to prove its worth of having the title of ‘Garden City of India’. Well, one of the NGOs of the city, SayTrees has come forward to take an initiative for the city. The local organization has successfully installed a vertical garden on one of the pillars of famous Hosur Road flyover.
The local NGO believes that this vertical garden will help in solving the issue of pollution in the city. This vertical garden consists of more than 3,500 saplings with 10 different species of plants. The NGO is aiming to cover all the pillars of the flyover with these green saplings. The flyover is believed to be stretch over the area of 9 kilometers.
This vertical garden is installed with an automated drip irrigation system. This automated irrigation technique is capable of serving 100 milliliters of water to these saplings every day
The urbanization of the Indian Silicon Valley with this new trending vertical garden will surely help in curbing the city pollution.
