Cataract Surgery
India is well known for Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation practices but we should know that earliest surgeries were also taken up by Indian doctors or surgeons. Treatment and surgeries for very sensitive organs like eye operations were also there. The earlier form of Cataract Surgery, now known as ‘couching’, was first found in ancient India and then introduced to other countries by Indian physician Sushruta.
Buttons
You will surprise to know that the common buttons which we use to tie one another were also born in India. Buttons made from seashells were used in the Indus Valley Civilization for ornamental purpose by before 1500 BC. Some buttons carry holes to pierce with thread.
Sugar
Sugar was born in India during our ancient times, sugar is prepared by using the method of turning sugar-cane juice into granulated crystals that were easier to store and to transport.
Ink
The ink had been used in ancient India since at least the 4th century BC. That time the component was called ‘Masi’. Ink was prepared with raw material of colours and seeds of trees and plants.
Wireless communication
Sir Jagdish Chandra bose was the inventor of the first radio waves for wireless communication in 1895, he used wireless technology in radio waves. The first remarkable aspect of Bose’s follow up microwave research was that he reduced the waves to the millimetre level.

It is found that the rulers made of Ivory were first use by the Indus Valley Civilization period prior to 1500 BC. The universal measurement system was also followed by the people of IVC.
