Summer is here- and as much as we like the warmth, there is no denying that everyone hates the heat of the summer. With increasing temperatures, the electricity bills reach sky high, with AC, Fans, and other cooling appliances working round the clock. Efficient cooling and smart, eco-friendly techniques saves money, energy, quality of our lives and is also good for our environment.
.Reduce the cooling loads by employing cost-effective conservation measures like shades for east and west windows.
.Keep doors and windows closed during days, ventilate at night.
.Try using ceiling fans for increased comfort levels rather than AC or table fans
.Plant shade trees or plants around the homes
.Reduce the cooling load by employing cost-effective conservation measures. Provide effective shade for east and west windows. Best is to hand tight woven or bamboo blinds
.Cotton over other fabrics
.Create Cross-Breeze- Place fan/cooler across the window, so that the wind from outside and the breeze from fan combine to form cross-breeze
.Showering before bed- is a great way to decrease body temperatures before hitting the sack
.Hand a wet thick cloth/ sturdy bed-sheet in front of a open window or balcony. The breeze blowing in will quickly bring the temperature down.
