After a long, tiring day at work, sleep is something that everyone wishes for as soon as we hit the bed. But what about those days when all we want to do is sleep, but sleep simply evades us- Blame the food that we eat before sleep as it plays a pivotal role in deciding what kind of sleep you will get.
Some foods harm our sleep while others are sleeping inducers. So let’s find out about these sleep inducers and sleep stealers.
Milk : Sleep Inducer
Milk is a sleep inducer and the amino acid,a serotonin helps in relaxing the brain. Just add in some turmeric &/black pepper or almond paste or saffron, and get a deep, sound and peaceful sleep.

Although people avoid rice during nights as it helps put on weight, but its rather quite light on the stomach and induces sleep.
Dark Chocolate: Sleep Stealer
Shocked, isn’t? Me too! But a bar of dark chocolate contains the same amount of caffeine as that of a coffee. So try avoiding it before bedtime.
Banana: Sleep Inducer
Potassium relieves stress and Magnesium helps in muscle relaxation. So do say Yes, to banana after a long and tiring day
Chicken or Paneer curry: Sleep stealer
Chicken or Paneer curries are quite heavy on our tummy, especially during nights- they might even cause acidity and keep us away from sleep

Soups are nutritious, healthy and warm. The vegetables are softened and are easy to digest. Thereby, these go lighter on the digestive system and induces a deep sleep
