45 star chefs from top Indian hotels were drawn to feed 3000-strong Indian contingent attending the Hannover Messe, the world’s biggest trade fair.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who is presently in Germany, inaugurated the Indian pavilion at the trade fair along with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.
The chefs prepared delectable foods that represented the country, India, keeping in mind the likes/dislikes of the VVIPs. Mango which is considered as favorite fruit of Indians was presented to Angela Merkel by churning it to lassi.
Gujarati snacks like khandvi, dhokla and khakras were cooked for Prime Minister Modi.
Star Chef, Manjeet Gill said, “We as a nation are slowly recognising the importance of food… it carries the image of the country. It communicates your culture. Food is a country’s primary culture,everyone eats.”
