After a long wait, finally Marvel’s The Defenders are going to hit the screens on 18th August on Netflix. With its final trailer out it is all set to launch its TV series tomorrow. Here you will come across superheroes from different TV series including Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Luke Cage together in the Marvel superhuman collaborate miniseries that fans have been sitting tight for!
The Defenders is all about these superheroes who team up together to save New York city while battling with their personal mysteries that is ahead of them. Everything changes for them when a super villain Alexandra comes into the picture.
“We’re incredibly excited to be able to bring our four street level heroes together in an epic tale woven by Doug and Marco whose work on Marvel’s Daredevil speaks for itself,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb in a statement. “They write and produce not only great action and adventure, but also the heart and touch of humor that’s makes us Marvel. With the inclusion of Drew Goddard, we’ve got a team that’s as formidable as the Defenders themselves.”
Lets take a sneak peak into who plays what roles in the Marvel’s Defenders. The casting includes Sigourney Weaver who is playing the role of mysterious Alexandra. Macro Ramirez who is the show-runner states about the performing artist, saying: “Sigourney is the sort of individual you can purchase as the most intelligent individual in the room, who you can likewise purchase as a man holding a flamethrower.”Her character is a capable compel in New York City and she is like Weaver who is modern, scholarly, hazardous.”
The next character chosen for the role of Daredevil is played by Charlie Cox, along with Élodie Yung as his adoration interest Elektra Natchios, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Scott Glenn as Stick and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
The character of Jessica Jones is played by the beautiful Krysten Ritter along with Eka Darville as her aide, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Malcolm Ducasse, and Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth respectively. Luke Cage is played by the famous with Simone Missick as his police partner Misty Knight. Finn Jones plays Iron Fist, straight from the Netflix arrangement of a similar name. He is joined by Jessica Henwick as sidekick Colleen Wing.
