I am sure you all would have heard about the hideous incident that took place with the 17 year old Dangal actress Zaira Wasim where she was sexually assaulted inside the Vistara aircraft and she posted a live video as well where she was seen crying and explaining the insane things that happened with her.
Since the video was breaking the internet, people were debating and eventually broke into two different sides. Many people appreciated her for taking such a bold step and coming out and making a stand for herself, but there were few people who had spoken against her and they had alleged her for making false claims and accusing the person who did this to her.

Even the wife of the accused said that her husband was not at fault and even one of the co-passenger too felt that way and he said that it is wrong of Zaira to put allegations on someone like that!
Well, since there are so many views and opinions from the people across the country, its time Mumbai Police took a stand for Zaira Wasim and they took to social media to defend Zaira Wasim and spoke about the harassment issue on twitter. We all are aware that Mumbai Police is quite active on social media and they have “zero tolerance” for any crime and this time too, they proved that they are there for anyone and anyone just cant hamper the reputation and put false allegations on the victim.
Tweeting about the incident the Mumbai Police said, “It is the Constitutional Right of every victim to report sexual abuse and it is our duty to take cognizance, investigate & facilitate justice. Kindly refrain from being judgmental and #Respect the Right of a Victim of a Sexual Assault.”

With this tweet becoming the talk of the town, many twitterati’s expressed their gratitude and gave an amazing response to it, but still there were few who were against it and reacted in a negative manner!

And what about basic human rights? Today @MumbaiPolice is treating an accused under #POSCO worst than a TADA criminal. All at the insistence of @SwatiJaiHind and DCW. pic.twitter.com/o9Vl6jmMN1

It is said, “don’t judge a book by its cover.” It is expected of everyone to not simply see from the outside and talk, because you are not in anyone else’s shoes facing that incident. Instead support and if you really don’t know what has happened, refrain from making any remarks or comments.
Its for you to decide what you believe and what your thoughts are on this infamous incident.
