Oats Kheer| A Healthy Start for New Years

Oats, one of the miracle ingredients we can ever include in any of the dishes. Oats can be cooked in variety of ways, including kheer, which is yummy, healthy, filling and has 3 royal ingredients- oats, sugar and milk. Most of the ingredients are easily available in the kitchen and can be either served warm or chilled.

Ingredients:

1 cup oats

½ litre milk

Sugar/ Honey or sugar free

5 dates

7 almonds

2 cardamom pods

1 banana, ½ apple, kiwi, strawberry

6-7 raisins

Recipe:

Roast oats for about 5 minutes and keep aside.

In a non-stick  pan add milk, sugar, cardamom, dates, almonds and raisins. Boil for 5 minutes.

Add oats and let it boil until it becomes thick like a porridge.

Once the kheer is done add fruits.

Serve hot or chilled.
