We, Indians generally go through many “steps” before tying the knot- the first step is meeting the prospective groom and then slowly things settle by. But, what happens when you and your “prospective” significant other like each other, but you both fall short of agreeing on one thing- on something that is quite close to your heart- would you break leaving/fearing the decision of your “prospective” groom, or you both arrive at a compromise or would you hold your ground and stay firm?
Karishma Wali, an MNC employee from Gurgaon, got a good proposal, things were going good between them- until he had a problem with her dog. Yep! You read it right. She refused his proposal, only because his mom was not particularly fond of them. So she took matters on her hands and refused the proposal because, why not- she loves her dog!
Now, this gets me thinking- was rejecting his proposal the only way out? His mom was not fond of dogs- not many people are; couldn’t they both talk it out and reach some sort of middle ground? But, on the other way I get thinking that she was absolutely right in rejecting his proposal because dogs are just pets- they are our friends; once you start loving your dog, there is no going back- you love them with every cell of your being- asking someone to give up something so close to them is down-right wrong. Kuddos to Karishma for taking this step and standing her ground.
