We have ofen heard and kept on sharing the “complaints” of Indian Railways and Railway Ministry- The bad condition of the train, harassment, “who-cares” attitude of the railway personnel, no pantry, train delay and what not! But out Indian Railway Ministry do know how to rescue the stranded passengers and aid them! Recently we have heard many instances where the Railway personnel have helped the passengers in distress.
Now, another such instance has taken place in a train from Haridwar to Howrah – which was delayed by more than 7 hours due to dense fog. The train also had students from Asian School, Dehradun and they were starving as the train didn’t have a pantry.
Amit K Narnoli , a passenger then tweeted Railway Ministry requesting to arrange food for those school children.
@sureshpprabhu@RailMinIndia sir plz arrange food for school students in train 12370(B-1) bcoz of 7 hours delayed, route diverted,No Pantry

Indian Railways is indeed doing a wonderful job of helping out its passengers in distress. Wasn’t this what Indian Railways was supposed to be?
