Railway Ministry’s Swift Action

Namrata Mahajan was travelling alone on an outstation train in Maharashtra, was harassed by a male passenger and was immediately attended to by railways authorities after she requested help from the railway ministry via a tweet directed to railway minister Suresh Prabhu. She tweeted “@RailMinIndiaplzplz help in train no 18030. One male passenger harassing me at Shegaon. I am in train and terrified.” she tweeted.

Senior officer, VedPrakash, noted the tweet and as the train reached Bhusaval railway station, she was immediately attended by RPF jawans.
