Who Is The Real “Kamlesh”? Here’s The Shocking Truth!

Many of you would have heard about this common phrase, “only believe what you see”, but many times not everything that you see can be called ‘reality.’ Do you remember the time when there was a disturbing video that was doing rounds on the internet about a Delhi boy “Kamlesh” who spoke about his drug addiction?

Yes, that same video was part of a documentary called “Nashebaaz: The Dying People Of Delhi” and since then the boy was interviewed about substance use and the addiction of “white ink.” The video clip did go viral on the internet not for the right reasons though as people turned it into insensitive memes and trolled the boy for his addiction.

Kamlesh has yet again made a comeback in the internet with a video that shows him stating that he is in 6th grade and he has stopped taking the drug substance now. But, the question here is, “is he really Kamlesh?” if you take a close look at the two pictures, one of the previous time he was interviewed and one from the school uniform video you can spot the difference.

KamleshYes, the boy in the school uniform is not the real Kamlesh. He is just a doppleganger who apparently looks like him but isnt him! But, this boy from the video claims that he is only Kamlesh. Basically, this video tries to show the boy in a “rehabilitated condition” and is all dressed up in a uniform and is smiling throughout while he answers about his identity. This video has more than 4 lakh views and more than 14 thousand shares.

The director of the documentary, Dheeraj Sharma stated that the “video is fake.” According to the reports of ScoopWhoop, Dheeraj confirmed that this boy is definitely NOT Kamlesh.

“I made this documentary six years ago. The boy Kamlesh now is eighteen years old. This is an attempt to mislead public to gain fake publicity,” he said.

When asked about the Real Kamlesh’s whereabouts, the director bluntly stated saying,”I don’t want media to run after him now.”

And then, he also gave a message for those people who have liked this video that has gone viral and shared it on their social media pages showing their support and happiness about this fake video saying that, “If people are genuinely concerned about him, I would request them to actually help all those Kamleshs who are battling drug addiction in Delhi streets.”

Even though the documentary was made, yet the video went viral for all the wrong reasons.
