New York based photographer, Eric Pickersgill’s new project titled ‘Removed’ is a series of beautiful yet disturbing images of our daily lives in which we cannot think of spending our times without smart phone.
The inspiration for his project came when Pickersgill was at a café one morning and while observing his surroundings he saw a family who were sitting next to him and despite being together, thy were all preoccupied with their phones while their mother looked sad, but after some time she too takes out her phone and gets busy.
The series of photographs by Pickersgill are of individuals who appear to be holding personal devices although the devices have been physically removed. The photos are the reenactments of scenes we experience daily. Here are some of the photographs from the project.
