Trump’s impeachment has been viewed by different people across the world differently. Depending on how their view point of Trump is, spectators around the world have been shaping their point of view on the former political candidate. Democrats and those against Trump, are eagerly waiting for his impeachment so that he can permanently be banned from the US office. On the other hand, Republicans, white supremacists and pro-Trump followers have been eagerly waiting for Trump to win the trial so that they can vote for him and make him President once again in the United States election 2024.
However, not all Republicans seemed to take the impeachment seriously and were, in fact quite busy dealing with other things. On Thursday, While Trump’s impeachment trial number two was taking place, Republican Senator Marco Rubio told the media that he was busy playing Candy Crush during the trial. Another funny fact to add to this is that he got his highest score ever on Candy Crush Saga during the second impeachment trial.
According to the Republican Lawmaker from Florida, he has been playing video games for years now. However, due to his political indulgence and workload, he had not been able to play anymore. The first two days of the trial has given him time to get back to his gaming.
Rubio stated that ever since the trial began, he had been very involved in playing Candy Crush. He told the media that he was in the zone while playing it during the trial. He also stated that he had been obsessed with the game for a while and the trial only triggered him to play it more often.
Rubio has already made his high score on the game and hopes that he can even beat this score during the third day of the trial which will be held on Friday.
According to Rubio, he is able to concentrate more on the game as the court is usually silent. He told media that he wishes the court would not play noisy videos during the trial as it is distracting his game. The lawyers on both sides however, according to the senator are easy to tune out , making him more involved in his game than ever.
Candy Crush saga is a mobile app which requires players to put the same type of candy in horizontal or vertical lines to score points. It is a quite simple game, yet it can become very addicting.
