Human trafficking has been in news since ages. But what has been done to curb these? Most often, the cops are the ones who are deeply involved in human trafficking and brothel keeping. Many NGOs have come forward in helping the trafficked women, girls and kids find solace and help them in overcoming the trauma they face during their ‘transit’ period- the time from when they are abducted to the time they are sold.
Guria, is one such organization that ardently helps these trafficked young girls by providing them much needed emotional and mental support. With 1650 ongoing cases against traffickers, 1500 girls rescued, 70 brothels sealed, Guria is one such organization that continues to fight.
