1. Dil Chahata Hai:
Not exactly a road-trip based movie, but come on, the spontaneous way in which 3 carefree friends plan to take a road trip to Goa. This 1,296-kilometer highway stretches across the coast, covering destinations such as Pune, Goa and Karnataka.
2. 3 Idiots:
The movie where 2 friends first set out on a journey from Delhi to Shimla and then to Ladakh is a visual treat to the audience. It is here in the road trip that the back story of the characters is revealed.
3. Jab We Met:
this film follows the story of a girl, who has run away from home in a bid to reunite with her love. During her journey, she runs into a guy (played by ShahidKapoor) who is troubled by his past. The film traces the magic of their chemistry as they travel together.
4. Road, 2009:
Vishnu’s escape from his father’s company on a road of self-discovery across Rajasthan and the Kutch district in Gujarat. With the Delhi-Jaipur/Ajmer expressway and multiple dhabas along the highway, do remember to see the sand dunes in Jaisalmer before heading to the Kutch.
5. Bombay to Goa, 1972
This comedy move is definitely a favourite among masses where we get to see many “colourful” passengers.
6. Finding Fanny:
This movie not about the usual zing and bling of Goa, rather it portrays the complete other side of Goa. Explore the lesser-known locales of Goa featured in the movie on a road trip through Goa. Check out Divar Island overlooking the Mandovi River. Its scenic and unique charm gives you a feeling that life has slowed down for a while as you bike through it and discover the town for yourself. St Jacinto Bridge is also featured in the movie along with the Three Kings Church. In addition, Lisbon House and Siolim Bridge are other places to explore for exquisite Portuguese architecture.

This movie is a road movie in the truest sense of the term as driving along the highways of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir shows you few of the most amazing scenic beauties that is sure to mesmerize you. .
