The 2015 movie starring Anushka Shetty Rudhramadevi might not have seen great box-office success, but the filmmakers and actors do have some great news. The film has been shortlisted for the Oscar Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film Award category.
The Film Federation of India had recommended Rudhramadevi and subsequently informed the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce about the recommendation. But, this is still the first step and lot many developments are yet to be seen as the committee will then pick one film from the list of films recommended from various Indian languages to represent India. Later, the Oscar nomination committee will scrutinize all the films from different countries and select five from those.
