Snapchat, an image messaging and news app, which lets you view live events from across the world, recently helped a young woman in New Delhi, India who wanted to OD (over-dosing) and end her life.
She posted, “I’m only 20 and the boy who knocked me up isn’t even my boyfriend. I’m so scared I think I’ll OD tonight so I don’t bring shame to my family.”
The community includes members from people all across the world, immediately helped her by sending positive messages and asking her not to take any hasty decision and asked her to speak to her mom.
Messages poured in from all across the world.
Like this message from Tasmania, Australia
Like this message- No one deserves loneliness in the dark
Or this one from Delhi, who asked her to think practically and of her parents.
A message from South Africa
Another message from Delhi
Also, an unexpected message from unexpected place- Kuwait
And many more numerous messages- which made the girl re-think her decision
She finally took the stand and told her mom- and the update:
People are all good. You just need the right ones to help you out in the times of need. But, for that, you have to reach out to them and be vocal of your problem. You will see that one request of yours and millions of hands will be there to support you!
