What Is So Special About Rama Navami?

Rama Navami is a well-celebrated festival among Hindus. According to Hindu calendar, Rama Navami falls on every ninth day of the Chaitra month. The day is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Rama who is considered as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Rama-Navami-is-a-well-celebItis believed holy to fast on this day. As this day is not for seeking favor from the god but to pray for the perfection as a human being. The devotees of Lord Rama follow several rituals throughout the world. A number of events are organized in several temples on this auspicious day. There are a few places in India where this ritual longs for nine days which starts with Ugadi and ends up on Rama Navami.

Hindu-people-visit-several-The prominent celebrations on Rama Navami’s occasion take place at Ayodhya and Sita Samahit Sthal in Uttar Pradesh, Sitamarhi in Bihar, Bhadrachalam in Telangana, Vontimitta in Andhra Pradesh, and at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. There are places where a chariot procession especially known as Shobha Yatras are organized on this auspicious day.

The-prominent-celebrations-Outside India, Rama Navami is also celebrated in various countries like Nepal, Mauritius, Malaysia, Singapore, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
