Kangana Ranaut and R Madhvan starring ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ will present an original sequel. It is set to go on floors in May, 2015.
The film producer Krishika Lulla said that it will redefine the trend of sequels in Bollywood.
“Tanu Weds Manu 2″ is an extension of its previous part. It’s actually a real sequel where Kangana and Madhvan are again playing the lead roles. It continues where it ended unlike the sequels we have in Bollywood where either the storyline is changed or the leads are replaced with other actors,” Krishika told.
Kangana essays the role of a Haryanvi athlete in the film and she has learnt Haryanvi for the same.
After finishing its elaborated shooting in Lucknow, the film is left with its Haryana location which is scheduled in April.
Asked for the reason behind the coming up with the sequel of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ after a gap of four years, Krishika said, “We had the synopsis of the script with us for quite sometime. But Anand and I got busy with ‘Raanjhnaa’. The moment we finished it, we were back for ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2′”.
