India is well known for its love for spices and everything spicy. A dash of spices always makes everything a lot interesting and delicious, including tea- especially during monsoon and winters- it not only provides taste, but also makes tea healthy and provides warmth. The Chai ka Masala is the secret behind making the perfect Masala tea , and here is how the magical spice is made.
Ingredients:
3 tbsp. cloves
¼ cup cardamoms
1 ½ tbsp. black peppercorns
2 sticks cinnamon
5 Star Anise
¼ cup dried ginger
2 tsp. nutmeg powder
Few strands of saffron
Recipe:
1.Dry roast all the ingredients separately till they give out their distinct aroma.
2.Transfer into a plate and keep aside to cool completely.
3.Once cooled, first dry grind Cinnamon, star anise and cloves; then add cardamoms, saffron and peppercorns and grind till they are finely ground,
4.Now add the dried ginger powder, nutmeg powder and blend in a mixer to a smooth powder.
5.Store in an air-tight container and use as required.
