The Herd is a scientific Feminist horror film by Melanie Light. In the short film is the brutal allegory of the horrors that is inflicted upon cows in the dairy industry. In this movie, we see that women are kidnapped, trafficked, raped, artificially inseminated, beaten, treated very badly, their children- if a girl, then prized, and if a boy then it is immediately killed, and most importantly- these women are exploited for their milk- their bodies attached to milking machines which keeps extracting milk.
A must see movie for those who have no idea of the horrors that are inflicted upon cows in the dairy industry.
