Relationships are not a piece of cake and they hardly ever have ‘Happily Ever After’. Although some relationships get better with time with compromises some don’t stand the chance.
Here are few things you need to remember to never tolerate in a relationship.
1. Abuse:
Abuse can be physical or verbal or emotional. Although physical, verbal and sexual abuse is visible, emotional abuse is something that is difficult to catch on. If you are made to feel inadequate in a relationship or are let down, then walk away keeping your head held high
2. Body Shaming:
If you partner makes insensitive jokes about how you look, or makes fun of you for being too thin or too fat or short or too tall, then you definitely should have a word with him/her regarding this. Its uncalled for and plain mean.
3. Time:
Ofcourse always giving you a priority isnt an option and that’s not possible as well. But she/he has to take out time for you from their schedule, that’s important too. If your partner treats you like an option then its better for you to walk out
4. Lack of Respect:
Opinions and thoughts differ, that is healthy and important. But what is more important is the respect that your partner gives for your opinions and choices, irrespective of whether they like it or not
5. Belittling your career;
If your partner thinks her/his career is more important that yours then you really need to have second thoughts.
6. Past:
Everyone has a past and if your partner constantly brings up your past and judges you because of them or laments how (s)he are in problem because of your past then you need a re-think
7. Controlling your social time:
If Your partner constantly keeps asking you to be away from certain friends or family with no particular reason, then he is a control freak,and you need to talk to him/her and if it still is the same then walk out!
8. Secrecy:
If he/she despite being in a serious relationship with you refuses to meet your family or refuses to take you to meet their family or friends then you really need to re-think about hat he/she is hiding.
