We all have a habit of popping in pill when our head throbs, but do we understand that regular popping of pills this way is quite harmful to us as it makes us addicted to these drugs, and after a point of point these drugs stop working for us.

1. Laughter
Laughing is the best medicine- this is not just a quote. It is a fact. Laughing releases hormones called endorphins, which are potent pain killers and are also called the feel-good hormones.
2. Get Caffeine
A hot mug of coffee or probably a hot ginger tea will help you for few hours and helps during sleep deprivation headaches.
3. Engage in a conversation with a colleague or a friend- talking to a friend will help in relieving the stress and anxiety and make you feel better for some time.
4.Take a break for 10 minutes after 2 hours or at least walk around the office- sitting around for too long is a trigger for severe headaches.
5.Mouth fresheners and sugar free chewing gums do help a bit in relaxing your stress. So go and start chewing your gum- they keep you alert, keeps your breath fresh and relieves headaches.
6. Pain medication: When the headache is truly horrible, you are obviously left with no choice rather than popping in the pain killers.
7. Keeping oneself hydrated is very important. Keep sipping in small amounts of water every few minutes. Most of the headaches caused at work place are due to dehydration.
8. Re-arrange your posture- you might be having these headaches due to bad lighting or maybe due to wrong sitting posture.
9.Freshen up: You may feel refreshed, once you wash your wash, and spritz some mild perfume. Washing your face and hands make you feel refreshed and keeps headache at bay for some time.
