Finally, the Wall Street Found A Companion! On 7th of this month, State Street Global Advisors(SSGA), a Wall Street firm has installed a girl’s statue opposite to the bull of the Wall Street. The statue of this little girl is standing with her hands on her hips and is ready to fight against the bull. The statue is designed in a such a beautiful way that the statue itself showcases the strength of the girl. Her chin is high with legs a bit apart, and her hair tied in a high ponytail.

the-Wall-Street-Found-A-ComThis bronze statue of the ‘Fearless Girl’ (as entitled now) has been installed one day prior to International Women’s Day. This initiative has an objective behind it. The asset manager of the firm wants to raise the number of women clients on their corporate board.

This-bronze-statueAfter the installment of this defiant girl’s statue, Ron O’Hanley, the president and CEO of the company came forward to release his statement on this initiate. He said, “Today, we are calling on companies to take concrete steps to increase gender diversity on their boards and have issued clear guidance to help them begin to take action.” He continued, “A key contributor to effective independent board leadership is diversity of thought, which requires directors with different skills, backgrounds, and expertise.”

This “Fearless Girl” statue will supposedly be remain in its place for a minimum of a week to support the cause.
