In India where lot of farmers suicide due to crop failure and loan problems, farmers of these village are enjoying their livelihood just by sowing tomato seeds.
Though Uttar Pradesh (UP)in India is well known for its crime but a village in UP is a favorite place among farmers.
Salarpur in UP is recognised for its tomato farming. The tomatoes have given an identity to 3500 people staying in the village. With this bright red vegetables, farmers are able to earn nearly Rs 60 crore per year.
The tomato plantation which was started in 1998 by Abdul Rauf has become an occupation for most of the villagers in the village.
