In Ayurvedic treatment of weight-loss, it mainly increases the “digestive fire”, i.e., it increases your metabolic rate, so that the foods that you eat are properly and quickly burnt. BMR plays an important role in your weight management.

.Drink a large glass of warm water with organic lemon and honeywhen you wake up to stimulate the bowels, boosting the entire digestive system and gives you a fresh start to your day
.Exercising is the most important in weight management. It not only keeps you fit and healthy but also gives a boost to your muscles and helps in relaxation. 3.Instead of drinking caffeinated drinks in the morning like coffee or tea, try Green tea, Herbal tea or Detox tea. These help in detoxing the body and provide anti-oxidants that helps flushing out and balancing these toxins.
.NEVER skip your breakfast. Try cereals, oats, fresh fruits, sprouts, fruit salad, egg whites (do not eat yolk as they are hard to digest). Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
.One important rule is to eat every two – three hours. For light snacking at mid-morning either have a fruit or drink a fruit juice.
.Have the heaviest meal of the day for your lunch. This is when your BMR is the fastest. Include salads, whole wheat breads, rice, vegetables, pulses, cheese, meat, desserts, yogurts, etc.,Do include a bowl of cabbage in your diet every day.
.Do move regularly a little bit after every meal. At-least for 5-10 minutes.
.For the mid-afternoon meal try few dry-fruits, or a fruit, tea with biscuits or have coconut water.
.Make sure you finish your dinner before 8 PM, as your metabolism becomes weakest at that time of hour. Hence keep your dinner very light and easily digestible. Maintain a gap of 2 hours between your dinner and sleep.
.If possible, go for a walk after about 30 minutes of your dinner, this will further aid in digestion. Have a tablespoon or a tablet of triphala with water.
.Ensure you have a sleep for about 8 hours on an average. A proper sound sleep is very important to maintain your health. Your body needs to recover from exertions of the day and it rejuvenates itself while sleeping.
