In today’s world, marriage has become an easy game and divorce petitions are being filed for the tiniest issues.
But here is a Granny’s Advice for a happy relationship!!
A man and a woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had kept no secrets from each other and were very transparent except for the little shoebox, the old woman kept on top of the closet, and cautioned her husband never to open or ask about it.
The old man was good enough to respect his wife’s words of caution, until one day when the old woman was sick and bed ridden and the doctor said she would never be able to recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoebox and kept it beside his wife’s table.
She felt it was time, for her husband to know what was in that box. When he opened the box, he found two hand-made crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000. On seeing this he was perplexed and asked her about the contents.
“When we were to be married”, she said, “my grandmother told me the secret for a happy marriage, it was, to never argue. She told me that whenever I got angry with you, I should crochet a doll.”
The old man was so moved, that he had to swallow his tears and fight them back. Only two crocheted dolls were there in that box. She had been angry with for only two times in her entire life. The old man burst with happiness.
“Honey, that explains the doll, but what about all this money!! Where did you get so much money?” he asked.
“Oh that!!!… That’s the money I made, from selling the dolls I crocheted”
