There are no limits to insanity! People think they can do anything for fun. They don’t think twice before doing something which might hurt the other person. When you study in a school, you know how careful the staff and management are when it comes to catering to the needs of the students and they see that students are disciplined in every way and they nurture them. But, have you ever heard a scenario where a teacher gives the students alcohol instead of water?!
Well, it happened. Apparently, few students of the Koratagere Taluk Governement school were thirsty and had asked the teachers for some water, but the teachers without even bothering poured liquor and gave it to the children. Ridiculous, right?!
In Bengaluru, teachers are stressed over youngsters filling their water bottles with liquor. One school in Tumakuru area, nonetheless, seems to do things the other way, with teachers supposedly filling a water bottle with liquor and offering it to the students.
Two teachers and the director of the Government High School at Bommala Devi Pura in Koratagere taluk were suspended by the authorities on Wednesday for purportedly giving alcohol rather than water to their students while they were on a field trip.
The students from classes 8th-10th were taken on a three-day educational excursion to seaside regions.
While they were returning on December 10 night, the transport halted close to Belur in Hassan district for dinner. Then few students had asked the teachers for some water. Be that as it may, as indicated by reports, the teachers were professedly intoxicated and rather gone around a water bottle filled with liquor.
As indicated by School Development and Management Committee VP Ashwathnarayana, who got several complaints from furious parents, around seven students drank liquor from the bottle given to them. Some had an unfriendly response to liquor as they had swallowed it down accepting it was water.
‘I vomited several times.’
“I vomited several times. I don’t remember how I reached home,” said one student. His father, along with other parents, who complained to the SDMC said his son returned home in a terrible state. “He was not in a position to walk when he came home along with his teachers.”
It seems that the Deputy Director of Public Instruction of Madhugiri instructive district Ravishankar Reddy, who is testing the scene after he got a complaint on December 12, said he went by the school and that the teachers and the dean had been suspended when they were enquired.
It is really a shameful incident that has taken place. Are students not safe when they are at schools as well? Can the teachers be trusted anymore?
