This year’s Academy Awards is the 89th edition of the series. The ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. This year’s Academy Awards were distributed in 24 categories. This year’s Oscars has been directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Michael De Luca. This was the first time when late-night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel took the center stage for hosting the ceremony.

This year’s Oscars has ended up with a blunder which was sorted out just after the announcement. The blunder was that the movie ‘La La Land’ was incorrectly announced as the Best Picture before announcing the real winner ‘Moonlight’.
