The internet cant keep calm, because Prince Harry and American actor Meghan Markle are now officially engaged and I must say that the duo look very cute together. Prince Harry who is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and fifth in the line to the throne is now engaged to Meghan on Monday.
It is amazing to see that the couple met on a blind date that was setup by a mutual friend and then they got to know each other after camping under the stars in Botswana.
While Prince Harry gave his brief appearance at the Sunken Garden at the Kensington Palace, Harry stated saying that from the moment he saw her he knew that “she was the one” from the very first time that they met! Isn’t it cute though?!
The ring that Meghan is seen wearing is designed by Harry, and it has a gold band and features a large diamond from Botswana and two smaller outer diamonds from the personal collection of Harry’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, according to a statement from Kensington Palace.
In a candid 20minute interview, the couple speak about their romantic relationship as they share how things happened. Apparently, they got engaged while cooking roasted chicken at home and this proposal cant really be any cuter!
In the interview Harry said, “Just a cosy night, it was — what we were doing, just roasting chicken,” then Ms Markle said of the proposal, which unfolded at Harry’s Kensington Palace home earlier this month. “It was just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet, and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee.”
The best moment of the proposal was when”She didn’t even let me finish. She said, ‘Can I say yes?'” Harry said smiling at her. “Then there were hugs and I had the ring in my finger. I was like ‘Can I give you the ring?’. It was a really nice moment. Just the two of us.”
My heart is melting listening to this cute little proposal. Now its time for the Royal Wedding Bells for the couple as they will be getting hitched in 2018 Spring.
Asking about how their relationship journey went on, Prince Harry said, “ revealed they then had two dates in London, and said their relationship grew “incredibly quickly” from there.
“I think about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana. We camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic,” he said.
Well, we wish the couple a hearty congratulations and we are waiting for your big day when you guys will exchange vows be married forever!
